The BEDOURET family has run the estate for several generations.
Le Domaine de Caude
Standing proudly atop the hills of Montréal du Gers, Domaine de Caude overlooks a vineyard cherished by the Bédouret family for many generations. This vineyard abounds in a variety of grape varieties, enabling Lydie and Jérôme Bédouret, guardians of ancestral know-how, to concoct wines that perfectly accompany every moment of delectation.
As "Vignerons Indépendants", they take responsibility for every stage in the wine-making process, from vineyard work to marketing.
A label affixed to all their bottles that affirms the values of authenticity and passion that drive them.
HISTORY
Armand and Marie (the grandparents)
Domaine de Caude has been a family business for several generations, starting with Armand and Marie Bedouret, farmers on the family estate. He had dairy cows and a few vines. They produced and vinified wine, which they sold to merchants, and made Armagnac.
Lydie and Jérome (the parents)
Jérome Bedouret decided to set up with his parents in 1989 with the creation of the 1st company, and his wife Lydie joined the business in 1993, with the aim of developing wine production. Over time, they bought land and vines to sell in bulk, joining the Cave de Panjas. In 2001, they carried out their first bottling on the estate to develop direct sales and sales to private individuals. They have developed this line of business through trade shows and canvassing... Meanwhile, in 2015, they founded a SARL (limited liability company), with the aim of becoming a négociant to facilitate direct sales and expand their product range.
Corentin (the son)
In 2020, Corentin Bedouret decided to join the estate with the aim of developing the sale of bottled wine. To this end, he decided to expand with the purchase of 22 hectares of vines and a new winemaking cellar equipped with a pneumatic press more suited to winemaking and more consistent with their marketing channels.
Our commitments
For several years now, Domaine de Caude has been committed to "Agriculture Raisonnée" (Sustainable Agriculture) in order to make the most of our respect for the environment. We are currently in the process of obtaining High Environmental Value Level 3 certification.
